Welcome to Anvilstone Dog Training

Not just dog training. We train people too.

About Anvilstone Dog Training

Located in the southern Lake District near the small market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Anvilstone dog training is based on a sheep farm on the side of a limestone fell.

Privately owned rolling fields, meadows, and rivers give way to fellside and felltop vistas, all perfect location for different types of dog training and dog handling.

Further North, we have 100 acres of mature woodland, with a 10 acre lake for cooling dogs off.

The farmhouse, dog barn and kennels are set in the midst of our own grounds, with almost 1000 acres of fellside immediately accessible from our fields.

The location, with the variety of habitats is perfect for training all types, shapes and sizes of dogs, in almost any discipline. Whether it’s general obedience, lead pulling, search work, deer stalking, gun dog work, dog/people aggression, confidence building, or focus training.

Anvilstone dog training is also home to the well known Anvilstone wire haired pointers. We are 5 star council approved accredited breeders of GWPs and Drahthaars.
