Welcome to Anvilstone Dog Training

Not just dog training. We train people too.

Residential and Dog Training in North Devon

Located in the peaceful countryside near the small market town of South Molton, Anvilstone Dog Training is based on a small organic extremely private farm hidden away in a beautiful  location. Rolling fields, meadows, private lanes, mature oak woodland and a meandering river provide a setting perfect for different types of training and handling dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds.

Sheep, cattle, horses, pheasants, chickens, deer and squirrels are all present on the farm and provide real world distractions for you to teach your dogs to ignore.

We specialise in short haired and wire-haired pointers and vizslas but we also work with all dog breeds including Malinois, Dobermans, Rottweilers and other large breeds as well as smaller dogs.

At Anvilstone we have been breeding, training and working wire haired pointers for over 20 years. We understand that every dog is different, and all our training is done in a calm, structured way with positive reinforcement, frequent breaks, and close attention to the dog’s physical and mental well being.
